Jackson Hole Snowboard Runs: Scenic Downhill Adventures in Heavenly Powder



Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is covered by a blanket of snow in the winter, making Jackson Hole snowboard runs a magical experience for skiers and snowboarders of every level and from all parts of the globe. The following ski resorts have reign over Jackson Hole snowboard runs, featuring scenic downhill adventures on easy to challenging, but always powdery terrain.

Grand Targhee Ski Resort
According to the Grand Targhee Resort, the western slope of the Teton Mountains average more than 500 inches of snow per year. In the winter months, snowboarders may enjoy lift access to 1,500 acres of terrain on two mountains on which advanced, intermediate and beginner runs are available. Intermediate boarders may begin at the top of Fred’s Mountain, which has an elevation of 9,862 feet. Intermediate runs from here include the Rock Garden, Painted Pony, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. Advanced boarders also have many runs from which to choose, including Black Diamond runs Bobcat, Reliable and Toilet Bowl, all towards the top of Peaked Mountain, which sits at a lofty 9,830 feet. above sea level.

Snow King Resort
Kown as “Racer’s Mountain,” the Snow King ski and snowboard area has a base elevation of 6,237 feet and a top elevation of 7,808 feet asl. The majority of the runs cater to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with 25 percent of the terrain available to intermediate boarders and 15 percent available to beginners. A total of 400 acres of skiable terrain is available, with 300 of those acres being groomed terrain. Two lifts lend access to 110 acres of runs available for nighttime skiing at Snow King Resort.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Snowboarders and skiers alike may choose from more than 100 named trails on the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort map, which covers 2,500 acres of terrain on the "Apres Vous" and "Rendezvous" mountains. Half the trails are marked for expert boarders, while the remaining 40 percent are marked for intermediate athletes and 10 percent for beginners. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort also contains two terrain parks for beginner and expert skiers and boarders.
