Bubba's Bar-B-Que Restaurant - (307) 733-2288

Not the usual tourist trap, this restaurant really is for the working man (or woman). The prices are good and the service is good. I eat here everytime I'm in Jackson and have found the quality and service consistent (and always really good BBQ). The locals think it's the best and I have to say that it comes close.

We lived outside of Jackson for 27 months and never got to Bubba's. Then, we went back on vacation and MADE the time. Worth the wait. I dream about those ribs. It's hugely crowded during the summer when most tourists convene, but go in the off-season and there's little if any wait. The ribs are stellar. My only warning is to stay away from the Cole slaw - not so good. But hey, it's a rib joint!

It's a cool BBQ joint. This is the way it ought to be done. Good, messy food served on picnic tables. I recently spent a week up in Jackson and was craving good BBQ. I've been a little skeptical in the past trying certain styles of food in tourist towns. Generally it's over priced and it's hit or miss on quality. Well, not the case here.
